With a rich décor influenced by our vibrant surroundings, these rooms enjoy views of the bustling Chao Phraya River. Traditional Thai silks and dark teak furnishings have been used throughout to provide a sense of place, while fresh exotic fruits and flowers are provided daily for a luxurious touch. Deluxe Room
Located on the higher floors of the hotel, these elegant rooms offer river and city views. State Room
Located between the 3rd and 9th floors of the River Wing, these spacious rooms enjoy wonderful panoramic river views. Entered via a teak panelled hallway, rooms are decorated in a traditional Thai style with dark wood furnishings and brightly coloured silks. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open up to balconies overlooking the river. Within the bedroom there’s a seating area furnished with a comfortable sofa, coffee table and large working desk. Premier Room
Elements of the hotel’s long and illustrious history can still be seen in these beautiful colonial-style rooms. Featuring vintage chandeliers and parquet flooring complemented by ottomans and comfortable sofas, the décor has a stylishly eclectic feel. Individually designed, some rooms are split-level, with a bedroom above and seating area below, while others occupy a single floor. While some feature a private conservatory, all enjoy sweeping river views and the choice of twin or king beds.

Located in the River Wing, these suites are tributes to some of the great literary figures that have stayed with us over the years. Individually designed, each suite pays tribute to one of these celebrated authors in name, décor and ambience. All feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, spacious sitting room, a large bathroom with separate bathtub and walk-in shower as well as a powder room off the living room; some suites also have a walk-in closet.
Joseph Conrad Suite
Named after legendary author Joseph Conrad, this elegant suite is the only one of our Authors' Suites to feature its own terrace, overlooking our lush gardens and the sweeping Chao Phraya River. Using a soft and calming palette of blues and creams, décor is soothingly stylish, reflecting our calm riverside setting. Featuring a dramatically draped four-poster bed, a selection of light blue armchairs and dark teak wood furnishings, the bedroom enjoys a romantic and elegant feel. Adjoining this the spacious bathroom is a haven of calm with a separate bathtub, walk-in shower and twin vanity area. The suite’s high ceilings and private balcony add to the luxurious feeling of style and space.
Siam Suite
Inspired by the beauty of Northern Thailand, this exquisite two-bedroom suite features elegant living and dining spaces, two large bedrooms and a teak panelled foyer. Furnished with antiques from Chiang Mai, magnificent Persian carpets and a varied art collection, the suite is both beautifully appointed and eminently comfortable. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open out over the river, flooding the rooms with light, while a carved lotus cornice provides a true sense of space. The spacious bathroom is a haven of calm with a stand-alone bath and large walk-in shower.
Selandia Presidential Suite
Named after the legendary ship The Selandia, our Presidential Suite is beautifully decorated in hues of pale ivory set against a background of hazy blues and rich scarlets. Furnished with silk draperies throughout, every detail from brass-cornered tables to the plush seating has been carefully thought out and the overall result is one of luxurious elegance. The suite’s master bedroom features a pair of crystal and silver bedside lamps, while the adjoining bedroom suite pays homage to the great ship with teak floors, panelled walls and ivory cotton draperies. Views stretch out over the river and the rooms are flooded with daylight.
Heritage Authors Suite
Located in our original Authors' Wing, these magnificent high-ceilinged suites celebrate three of the great writers who have stayed here. Reflecting the colonial character of the original hotel, the three suites - Somerset Maugham, Noel Coward and James Michener – have been individually designed to reflect the author’s personality, while all feature spacious bedrooms and lounge areas as well as Victorian-style marble bathrooms with walk-in showers and separate baths.
Adisorn Lodge Heritage Suite
Located in our original Authors' Wing, this charming high-ceilinged suite celebrates the life and times of the hotel's former Chairman. Rich colours and high ceilings make this a unique and historic place to stay. With wood-panelled walls, wooden floors laid with intricately patterned rugs and a fascinating art collection, the suite exudes an attractive blend of classic elegance and style. Royal Oriental Suite
This stunning suite has played host to royalty and Heads of State, as well as internationally acclaimed celebrities from around the world. Beautifully designed with an emphasis on elegance and space, the timeless interior features exquisite timber pannelling, an extensive art collection and soft furnishings carefully chosen to complement the suite’s soothing colour scheme. Decorated in shades of citron, cream and cobalt blue, the main living room enjoys a relaxing feel with an adjoining sitting area and dining room featuring magnificent Oriental carpets.
