Set like a jewel amidst the rolling hills of Karatu, The Plantation Lodge offers luxury accommodation in one of the most beautiful regions of Tanzania. It is just a short distance away from Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, two of this area’s most famous tourist destinations.
All of the 22 rooms and suites are individually decorated and have single- or double beds and en-suite bathrooms. Some also have verandas with direct access to the lush garden. Guests can relax next to the fireplace or enjoy a cocktail while admiring the stunning views.
There is a large shaded swimming pool set in the subtropical gardens of the lodge, the ideal place to unwind and admire the variety of birdlife in the area. The garden also boasts a variety of fruit trees and many vegetable, which are all used to prepare delicious dishes at the lodge’s restaurant.
Guests can look forward to a relaxing and cultural stay while visiting this part of Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Conservation is just a short distance away, providing guests with a panoramic view of the crater and an opportunity to appreciate the abundance of wild life in this area.

Standard Room
The rooms lie generouslythroughou the flowering garden, many have verandas and direct access to garden.Individuality is a major feature of Plantaion Lodge, where each room has its own style, choice accessories and bouquets of fresh flower from the garden that put the cherry on the cake.
Family Suite
This spacious suite has two bedrooms, of which both have double beds and private bathrooms. There is also a comfortable lounge with a fireplace available.
Honeymoon Suite
This suite is in a secluded section of the property, providing privacy. There is a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The suite also has a private veranda with beautiful views of the garden.
Guest Suite
These consist of the Eucalyptus Suite, the Kent Suite and the Blue Mountain Suite. Each of these suites has a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Zanzibar Suite
This suite has a Zanzibari-inspired design with canopy beds and interesting accessories. There is also an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda.
Family Room
This spacious room has two lovely bedrooms with single- and double beds. There is also a private bathroom and a comfortable seating area.
