Yas Marina Circuit

Located in Yas Island, the Yas Marina Circuit has become one of the most important attractions of the city by hosting a variety of motorsport events. With a length of 5,554 Km and a capacity for 50,000 spectators, the circuit is highly flexible being possible to set the track in 5 different configurations to be able to host a wide variety of races, from Formula One Grand Prix to Karting events.

Yas Marina, designed by Hermann Tilke, was inaugurated in 2009 and became the second Formula One circuit in the Middle East together with the track in Bahrain. Also, it is the only F1 track in the world to offer covered and shaded seats around the whole track.

Apart from motorsport events, the circuit offers many other possibilities for tourists as well as for Abu Dhabi residents who like the speed. For a moderate price, it is possible to experience the adrenaline of driving around the circuit with a variety of professional racing cars or even your own vehicle.

Also, Yas Marina has become one of the city’s main spots for sports fans. Every Tuesday night it is possible to walk, jog and cycle around the track for free between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. If you don’t have a bicycle, you can rent one at the circuit for a very reduced price. On Wednesday evening the track is also open where only women are allowed to exercise.
